Outgoing White House communications director Hope Hicks is now on special counsel Robert Mueller’s ‘hit list’ so she might possibly need prison commissary funds in the near future. Donald J. Trump is on that list now, too. Hicks is only 29-years-old so she has a lot to lose and she could potentially need funds for hiring attorneys but it doesn’t look like that will be a problem.
Hicks has reportedly been contacted by publishers over the possibility of her writing a book detailing her experience as Trump’s longest-serving aide.
Hicks could make up to $10 million from an advance for a book deal, the Daily Mail reports. The publisher is looking for a “candid, truthful, sensitive tell-all about her life in Trump Land—the good, the bad and the ugly” from Hicks.
In addition to an offer for a book deal, she is also actively being contacted by movie and TV producers.
“Next to Ivanka and Melania, Hope is the woman closest to the president,” one publishing executive told the Daily Mail. “[She] knows all the secrets, all the foibles, all the quirks.”
The publication cited what it described as a White House insider who said Hicks kept a “detailed diary of her White House work and her interactions with the president” and that’s what prompted the book and movie offers.
She had better hurry up! Axios had a look at a Grand Jury subpoena that Mueller’s team sent to a witness last month.
“Mueller is subpoenaing all communications — meaning emails, texts, handwritten notes, etc, that this witness sent and received,” from a list of ten people. Hicks is one of those ten people.
Hicks is reportedly worth $200,000 and it’s going to take a lot more than that to pay for her lifestyle and potential lawyers’ fees to get her out of this hot mess. She tied herself to a toxic administration so it’s difficult to feel sorry for her. Trump can pay for her legal fees but he’s on that list, too.
